Add Number - Enterprise/Contact Center

How to add an enterprise or contact center number to the testing platform.

Note: To complete this task you will need to have at least one IVR Traversal and one Timegroup created. If you have already created these requirements you may continue to add your number. If not, you will need to create both before you can continue.

To add an enterprise or contact center number to the testing platform, do the following:

  1. Navigate to the Numbers module of the platform (this can be found here in the left hand navigation menu).
  2. Choose the Number Type (Application Type) from the drop-down menu located top left of the page in the filters section (this should be set to either PSTN Quality or SIP Quality depending on your testing needs).
  3. Click the Add NumberAdd SIP URI or (this will open up the Add Number wizard).

  4. In the dialog box that appears add as much number information as possible to add more value to your number testing (mandatory fields are noted with an asterisk* symbol).

    1. Number Type: Confirm that the correct number type 'PSTN Quality' or 'SIP Quality' has been selected for the number.
    2. Number*: Enter the phone number you wish to test here.
      Note: If you're testing using the number type 'SIP Quality' then this field will require a SIP URI to be entered instead.
    3. Country: Select the geographical location of the number.
    4. Toll Status: Indicate the type of number that is being entered. For example: Toll Free, Shared Cost, Premium etc...
      Note: If you're testing using the 'SIP' number type then the toll status will automatically be set to SIP.
    5. IVR Traversal*: Assign the IVR traversal to be used when making test calls to the number.
    6. Carrier: (Optional Metadata) This data can provide useful information and insights regarding test performance over time.
    7. Location: (Optional Metadata) This data can provide useful information and insights regarding test performance over time.
    8. Customer: (Optional Metadata) This data can provide useful information and insights regarding test performance over time.
    9. Department: (Optional Metadata) This data can provide useful information and insights regarding test performance over time.
    10. Tag: (Optional Metadata) This data can provide useful information or help to identify numbers quickly when searching the platform.
    11. PSTN or GSM Routes: Choose to test your number using either PSTN or GSM routes. PSTN routes are selected by default unless they are not available.
  5. Rolling tests: If you do not wish to run rolling tests on your number you can skip the next section. Proceed to the end and click the Add(Rolling) testing. This is not needed when running campaigns on your numbers.

    1. Time matrix: Choose the frequency you wish to test the number at.
      Note: The Time Matrix value set here will override the Interval value set in the time groups module.
    2. Time constraints: Choose the time group you wish to use.
    3. Timezone: Choose the timezone (geographical location) of the number you are testing.
    4. Test Type: Choose the type of test you wish to run on your rolling test.
    5. Status: Set the operational status of your test to Running , Stopped or Draft.
      Note: If set to Running your number will begin testing using your scheduled preferences after you click the Save
    6. Send Report: Choose the type of report you wish to receive.
    7. After Save: The After Save menu gives you two options to choose from;
      1. Add a new number: This will simply dismiss the dialog box and add the new number to the system.
      2. Edit this number: This will add the new number information while keeping the dialog box open to make further edits.
    8. Add: Click the Add
  6. Your task is now complete.
Results: The page will refresh and your new number will be available to find, edit or delete within the numbers table.
