Create Passcodes CSV File

Create a .csv file to upload passcodes in bulk.

Note:
  • When creating a .csv file for your passcodes there are 5 fields expected per row.
  • The Region, Phonegroup and at least one Passcode field are mandatory. Other passcode fields can be left empty if they are not required to enter your conference bridge.
  • Due to certain software programs ignoring the leading zero when a file is saved in a .csv format; all passcodes should be entered beginning with an apostrophe ('). For example, if you would like to enter 012345 it should be entered as '012345.

To create a passcodes .csv file, choose one of the following methods:

  1. Method 1 - Microsoft Excel: Create an excel file with 5 columns. In the first row you should name each column as follows:
    1. Region (Mandatory Field)
    2. Phonegroup (Mandatory Field)
    3. Moderator Passcode (Passwords that are not needed may be left empty but at least one of the three passcode options must have an entry).
    4. Participant Passcode (Passwords that are not needed may be left empty but at least one of the three passcode options must have an entry).
    5. Leader Passcode (Passwords that are not needed may be left empty but at least one of the three passcode options must have an entry).
    6. When entering your passcodes ensure that each one begins with an apostrophe (example; '012345).
    7. When complete, save the file to a location on your computer or laptop with the file extension set as .csv.
  2. Method 2 - Plain Text Editor: Using Notepad, TextEdit or any plain text editor, do the following:
    1. Create a new text file and then copy/paste the following text as the first line:
Region, Phonegroup, Moderator Passcode, Participant Passcode, Leader Passcode
    2. Press EnterReturn
    3. When entering any passcodes ensure that each one begins with an apostrophe (example; '012345).
    4. When complete, save the file to a location on your computer or laptop with the file extension set as .csv.
    5. Your task is complete.
Results: The file will be saved in the location you have chosen on your computer or laptop.
