Here are the latest updates for the Voice Assure testing platform.

New Features:

  • CSV Download for Slack Follow-up Records: When using Slack alerts you can now download your follow-up test results directly from the follow-up records page

  • New Test Type | Sip Trunk Long Duration: Designed for troubleshooting issues with unexpected disconnections, and assisting with difficulties in managing the SIP re-invite processes on outbound call paths. Sip Trunk Long Call test measures call duration and examines if calls persist for the intended duration.

Updates:

  • PHP Update: CakePHP version has been upgraded from 7 to 8. This update to our infrastructure ensures efficient handling of PHP-based applications, contributing to a smoother customer experience.
  • SMS Character Limit: The character limit for received SMS has been increased from 160 to 1,024 characters.
  • SMS Language: Support has now been added for the Arabic language.
  • New Lines and Locations: Since our last release we have now expanded our fixed line coverage with Colt in both France (Paris) and the Netherlands (Groningen). We have also secured a second Mobile PoP in Brazil (Sao Paulo).

    With these additions, we now cover 84 countries, partner with 130 Fixed Line carriers, 165 Mobile Networks, and have a presence in 187 locations.

  • Batch tests via Mobile routes: We have improved the functionality of the Batch Test in the Numbers Section, allowing users to initiate it via mobile. Previously, batch tests could only be started through PSTN, even when generated from the GSM tab in the number section. Additionally, we've improved the pop-up message to clearly inform the user about the provider type from which the batch test is generated.

Bugs:

No bug fixes to report.

Here and there:

  • SMS Monitoring Architecture: We have enhanced our SMS infrastructure monitoring to elevate user experience. By proactively and frequently probing our infrastructure, we ensure everything is functioning correctly. This approach also includes an early warning system to identify and address any issues with SIMs before they negatively affect our customers.
